As a member of the Board of the Texas Chapter of Speedway Children Charities we are so very excited about a new event on this year's schedule.
Our new "AutoCross Challenge" is scheduled for November 22nd and will be held at Texas Motor Speedway.
Our awesome, dedicated committee from the Texas Chapter of the SCC has created a fun, safe, and exciting way to raise funds in a controlled competitive enviroment.
This event is comprised of a timed autocross event located in the south paddock area of the racetrack infield. Our participants will challenge themselves to a timed autocross thru a coned course. You can choose either Novice, or Expert at registration. You will even get at least 4 runs thru the course. The fast time in each class will be declared the winner. Not only will they get a spankin' new trophy but bragging rights as well! Best of all, we will have professional drivers on hand to offer tips on how best to navigate the course!
I am extremely jazzed about the "Mini LeMans Challenge" will follow the AutoCross Challenge.
Teams of two drivers will compete on the exact same autocross course.
The drivers from each team will drive identically prepared BMW Z4 race cars which competed in the Koni Challenge in 2008. How cool is that!?
Each team competing will have a predetermined number of laps with a driver change. Our overall winner will be determined by the fastest time. Bet you don't want to miss out on this fun event benefiting a great cause!
