Hornish Family Makes Celebrity Bowling Tournament a Huge Success for the Texas Chapter

2006 Indy 500 winner Sam Hornish Jr. hosted the 2nd Annual Sam Hornish Jr. Celebrity Bowling Tournament on Wednesday, June 7th to benefit Speedway Children's Charities, Texas Chapter.
The tournament attracted a diverse group of celebrities including Dallas Cowboys' Terry Glenn, Shannon Snell, Eric Darnell, and Patrick Crayton, The Apprentice's Tarek Saab, NASCAR Craftsman Truck series driver David Starr, Hornish's teammate Helio Castroneves, and former NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver Rusty Wallace, among others. Celebrities teamed up with corporate sponsors for a fun filled night of strikes, gutter balls and spares to benefit the children of North Texas.
The event raised more than $110,000 thanks to a generous and unexpected donation from Sam Hornish Jr. and wife Crystal of $25,000. Hornish Jr.'s parents contributed $10,000 and Hornish Jr.'s team owner Roger Penske contributed $12,000. The event was held at AMF Showplace Lanes in Euless, Texas.
