Speedway Children's Charities, the official charity of Texas Motor Speedway, held the 3rd annual Beretta Celebrity Clay Shoot presented by Synergy Properties on Thursday, November 1st at Ross Perot Jr.'s Circle T Ranch. The Champions Banquet following the shoot was sponsored by the National Rifle Association of America (NRA). The event was held in conjunction with the activities surrounding the Dickies 500 race weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

This year's event raised more than $205,000 for the Texas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities. The event was chaired by Troy Moncrief, Speedway Children's Charities Board Trustee.

Two-time NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series champion Tony Stewart participated in the event, as well as 2004 NEXTEL Cup champion Kurt Busch and Cup Series veteran Ward Burton. Other celebrities participating in the event included Johnny Rutherford, Buck Showalter, David Feherty, Jeff Gossett, Ken Jolly, and Walt Garrison.

The winning team of the shoot was Beretta USA. Individual best shooter of the day was awarded to Steve Brown with Beretta USA and the top celebrity shooter was Ward Burton. Each individual winner was awarded a Beretta shotgun provided by Beretta USA.

Speedway Children's Charities provides much-needed funds to children's organizations in Dallas, Denton, Collin and Tarrant County. This year, Speedway Children's Charities will distribute $752,000 to more than 195 area children's charities. The grants will be distributed Tuesday, December 4th at Texas Motor Speedway at the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Since 1997, Speedway Children's Charities has distributed more than $4.5 million to area children's organizations.
