Texas Motor Speedway and the Speedway Children's Charities-Texas Chapter Board of Directors announced today that Jaime Carlin has been hired as the chapter's new director.

Carlin, a Flower Mound resident, has nearly 20 years experience in marketing and
communications as well as 10 years in non-profit management working exclusively with children's charities.

"We are very excited to bring Jaime on board with our Speedway Children's Charities Chapter," Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said. "Jaime brings a wealth of knowledge to our organization and I look forward to seeing the chapter grow under her leadership."

Carlin arrives from the Children's Advocacy Center of Denton, Texas, where she served as development director. Her responsibilities in the position included defining and developing effective strategies for a $2.5 million capital campaign as well as meeting other funding goals, and managing volunteer recruitment and retention.

Prior to working with the Children's Advocacy Center, Carlin worked in marketing with the 4951 Group, LLP and Quick Technologies, Inc. She began her non-profit work in 1998 as director of development for Friends of the Family. She was responsible for all marketing, public relations and fundraising, and increased revenue by 17 percent during her tenure.

Carlin also worked for Meetings, Conventions, Incentives - travelling domestically and internationally for corporate incentive programs - and Sports and Recreation, Inc. creating promotional events to fulfill local marketing objectives for the company. In addition to her professional work, Carlin has fulfilled various roles in civic leadership, including the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation, AIDS Services of North Texas, the Homeless Coalition and Chamber of Commerce Leadership Initiative. Carlin possesses a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Austin College.
