Healing Hands Ministries is a grass-roots, volunteer-driven model health care clinic that provides medical and dental care to the invisible working poor families in an otherwise affluent Northeast Dallas segment. Sixty percent (60%) of the families that reside within the zip codes we serve live at 200% of poverty are at times making the choice to pay their rent, feed their children or purchase medicine. Healing Hands Ministries serves many clients who are teetering on the brink of homelessness.

Funded solely with individual and private donations like we received from the Speedway Charities, Healing Hands Ministries offers hope to these children by being able to provide a medical home for their treatment of asthma, diabetes, attention deficit disorder, hypertension and other chronic health care conditions that can push these young children and their families to living on the edge of hopelessness and despair.

This ongoing medical and dental treatment assures that these precious children have the care they need to be healthy enough to go to school and learn. Most of these children have never had a visit to see the dentist. They do not understand the importance of good dental health and hygiene. Speedway Charities generous donation has made it possible for 100 more children to receive dental exams, have their teeth cleaned, and have any necessary treatment that our volunteer dentists deem necessary. Another way the generous gift from the Speedway Charities has assisted the children we serve is by making it possible for the Healing Hands Medical and Dental Clinic to be open an additional night per month and to be able to give life saving immunizations that include flu vaccine at no charge to the children we serve. The total number of children receiving immunizations was 373 and 859 immunizations were given.

What an incredible impact Speedway Charities is making on the community we serve. Healing Hands Ministries Medical and Dental Clinic salutes you for your commitment to children. Thank you for investing in our future and the future of our community.
