Since its inception in 1987, GRACE has provided services that aim to improve the overall quality of life for those disadvantaged in the community. Over the past 22 years, those struggling with low-income or a recent emergency have been able to find relief through services that include emergency financial assistance, basic medical care, transitional housing, food, clothing, and a host of other services. GRACE has gone from serving 50 families a month to the current average of nearly 500 and continues to explore new programs and avenues of service that build an overall stronger community.

In 2005, GRACE added Feed Our Kids to their programs with a mission to provide lunches for area children during the summer when free school lunches and breakfasts are not available. This year, GRACE will celebrate its 5th year of safeguarding these children from hunger! With the help of community volunteers, civic, and church groups, Feed Our Kids fills the "hungry" weeks with sack lunches, milk, smiles and a loving atmosphere.

Over the past 4 years, the program has grown from serving lunches at one location to five. Just last year, Speedway Children's Charities helped GRACE "Feed Our Kids" and change the lives of more than 400 children! In total, 21,950 lunches were consumed by children in need. With the addition of more locations in 2009, GRACE expects to feed more kids than ever before. What Speedway Children's Charities aids GRACE in doing can be summed up by one very sweet girl who attended last year's Feed Our Kids program. As she patted her stomach, the little girl smiled and said, "My tummy is happy today ‘cause I had lunch!"
