Hallie Bea is 3 years old, and has been diagnosed with Diamond Blackfan Anemia. Diamond Blackfan Anemia is a very rare bone marrow failure.  Hallie’s family has been tested and are not a match for little Hallie.  Their hope is that by joining the National Bone Marrow Registry they will find a match for Hallie.  While Hallie’s hope is to be cured, she hopes to also find matches for others.

Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.  In the United States only 30% of those who need a bone marrow transplant have someone in their family that can donate.  On September 9, 2011 Speedway Children’s Charities, Cook’s Children’s Be the Match organization and the American Red Cross hope to make a difference in someone’s life, like three year old Hallie Bea, and give them the miracle they are looking for. Joining the bone marrow registry is simple. You can be someone’s miracle by simply stopping by and having your cheek swabbed.

Join Speedway Children’s Charities at Texas Motor Speedway, Cook’s Children’s Be the Match organization and the American Red Cross September 9, 2011 from 12:00pm-6:00pm on the 4th floor of The Speedway Club, help children just like Hallie in finding the perfect match.
