With more than 13 years of fundraising experience for high-profile events, Jennifer Henshaw has been hired as the new executive director of Speedway Children’s Charities, while the charity’s former executive director, Jaime Carlin, has been promoted to director of marketing, Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage announced today.

Henshaw, a University of North Texas graduate, has helped oversee several of the Dallas/Fort Worth area’s largest fundraising events for charitable organizations. As manager of distinguished events for the American Cancer Society, she oversaw the Dallas Cattle Barons Ball – the single largest fundraiser in the nation for cancer research through the American Cancer Society – which successfully generated more than $3 million in revenue each of her five years with the organization. She also was responsible for setting the foundation for several new events for the American Cancer Society that currently generates more than $250,000.

Prior to her arrival with Speedway Children’s Charities, Henshaw served as the fund development and event liaison for the Dallas Zoological Society. There she instituted a new fundraising process and strategy that now is implemented by the development team, as well as worked with the development board to create new fundraising events.

“I am thrilled to accept the position of executive director of Speedway Children’s Charities at Texas Motor Speedway,” Henshaw said. “Serving the community is very important to me. Being able to do so both personally and professionally for such an incredible charity is absolutely my dream job. I feel very fortunate to have this opportunity here at Texas Motor Speedway.”
